#3

Determined a goal for this blog. I'm only going to feature music with less than 10,000 views on youtube (or any other hosting site that I choose to use). There are too many bands that go unnoticed. You'll also be able to click on the band's name to visit their website.

We'll start this with a few bands I had the chance to see live recently.

Useless Keys - White Noise.

Opening for Billygoat, Useless Keys performed an acoustic version of this song and others, which, we were told, was something completely new for them. It led to an intimate understanding lyrically and an interesting composition. Loved it.

Billygoat - Dioscuri pt 1.

Last night was both Billygoat (now known as Good Night Billygoat) and Useless Keys. As you watch this animation, realize that the band is playing the soundtrack live. The sheer talent exuded from this band had me in awe, and made my musician friend feel incompetent. This show was recorded in 2008, and last night's concert was at the same venue.

Gram Rabbit - Wheels in Motion.

Gram Rabbit will be playing Indie WestFest this coming June in Ventura.

Listen, Listen #1

New blog for new music or music you should be listening to. Three songs per post, new or old. This is our first anniversary (we were born one).

"This wasn't your usual road kill / It held the curse of the Little Miss Jack spell."

Note - The Growlers will be playing Indie West-Fest at the Ventura County Fairgrounds June 4th.

"And it's 1, 2, 3 on the wrong side of the lee, what were you meant for? What were you meant for?"

Here's my review of The Decemberists' "The King is Dead".

"Here come the wolfman."
